In support of our cutting edge technicians, we have state of the art pre-press equipment that allows us the ability to completely control the quality of your project. From pre-flight checks to digital proofing and plating, our infrastructure allows quality assurance at every step.
Utilizing the latest technology we are capable of working in both Macintosh and PC platforms while incorporating a wide variety of different file formats which include: Quark, InDesign, Illustrator, Freehand, Pagemaker, Photoshop.
Our digital stripping is done utilizing Dianippon Screen Trueflow composition and ripping technology for final layout and trapping.
This CTP (Computer to Plate) technology is the foundation that allows us to strip, trap, rip, proof and plate using one common platform.
Stripping files are ripped and trapped then sent to the Epson 9800 proofing. The same digital information that will be used to create the Epson 9800 is stored and will be used for imaging the Fuji Thermal Plates, eliminating the need for re-ripping the files.
The primary workhorses of our press department are the completely compatible Eight Color 40” Komori Lithrone coating press and the Six Color 40” Komori Lithrone coating press.
The eight color press allows us to print eight colors in one pass and aqueous coat the sheet in-line. The six color press allows us to print six colors in one pass and aqueous coat the sheet in-line. Both presses are completely automated. The automated plate hangers, blanket washers and spectrophotometers insure quick and accurate make readies.
Our Four Color 28” Komori press allows us to accommodate our customers by running their short run four color work.
We also have Digital Printing capabilities utilizing an Océ 650 with inline stitching.
A 22” X 30” Heidelberg Letterpress allows us to maintain control of intricate die cutting projects by keeping their production in house.
Our full line of finishing equipment allows us to perform most bindery functions internally. The 45” Polar Cutter, along with our three full sized Stahl Folders allows us to cut and fold almost any standard size sheet of paper. Our Six Pocket with Cover Feeder and Drilling attachment Mueller Martini Saddlestitcher allows us to compete on the long run, stitched books.
